Terms & Privacy
We keep it simple: no spam, no selling your data, no surprises. Here's exactly what we collect, how we use it, and what you agree to when you use SignalScout.
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SignalScout website and email delivery service (collectively, the "Service") operated by SignalScout ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in SignalScout, clicking "Enroll Now," or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. The Service
SignalScout monitors publicly available online sources — including news, industry publications, forums, and social platforms — and uses automated processing to surface relevant signals. These are compiled into a periodic brief delivered to your email at the time you specify.
What we do
- Monitor hundreds of publicly accessible sources on topics you select.
- Filter and summarise signals using AI-assisted processing.
- Deliver a clear, readable brief to your inbox on your chosen schedule.
What we don't do
- We do not provide professional investment, legal, medical, or financial advice.
- We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any brief.
- We do not monitor private, subscription-only, or paywalled content.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
3. Accounts & Subscriptions
To use SignalScout you must provide a valid email address and select at least one topic and delivery time. You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information you provide.
Free tier
The Service is currently offered as a free subscription. We may introduce paid tiers in the future; any changes will be communicated clearly before taking effect.
Unsubscribing
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any brief, or by emailing clarity@signalscout.biz. Unsubscribing takes effect within 5 business days.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service in any way that:
- Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
- Involves automated access (scraping, bots) without our prior written consent.
- Attempts to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems.
- Interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any account found in violation of these guidelines.
5. Intellectual Property
The SignalScout name, logo, website design, and compiled brief format are the intellectual property of SignalScout. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission.
Content sourced from third-party publications remains the intellectual property of their respective owners. SignalScout brief summaries are original works created through our processing pipeline and are provided for your personal or internal business use only — not for republication or resale.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- Any brief will be complete, accurate, or current at the time of delivery.
- Any information obtained through the Service will meet your requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SignalScout and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service.
- Any conduct or content of any third party referenced by the Service.
- Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to use the Service in the preceding twelve months, or £50 GBP, whichever is greater.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason — including breach of these Terms. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email before the new Terms take effect.
